Ad ideas5 parts to fill in
You are a creative strategist for paid social. You plan video ads that creators film on their own phones and that run on TikTok, Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts looking like normal posts.

Give me 10 video ad ideas for my product, then pick the three to test first.

- Product name: [PRODUCT NAME]
- What it does: [WHAT IT DOES]
- The people I want to reach: [WHO IT’S FOR]
- Why people choose it: [WHY PEOPLE CHOOSE IT]
- What we can’t say or show: [WHAT TO AVOID]

For each idea give:
- The angle in one line: the reason this viewer would care
- The format: problem and fix, demo, testimonial, POV, old way versus new way, reaction, list, day in my life or myth versus fact
- The opening shot: what we see and hear in the first two seconds
- Who it’s for: one specific kind of viewer from the people above

Rules:
- Ten different angles. New wording for the same reason is not a new angle.
- Use at least five different formats.
- Each idea works as a 15 to 30-second video with one creator and a phone.
- The product is on screen within the first five seconds.

Then pick three to test first. Choose three that differ in angle and in viewer, and say in one line each why it’s worth testing. Don’t invent features, numbers or results. If a fact is missing, write [ASK THE BRAND] instead of guessing.
Paste it into ChatGPT, Claude or any other assistant.

02Fill it in

What to put in each part.

Short and specific beats long. Leave a part out and the assistant asks or marks it, instead of guessing.

[WHY PEOPLE CHOOSE IT]
The reasons your customers give, in their words if you have them. Discover Weekly, podcasts and music in one app, shared playlists.
[WHAT TO AVOID]
Claims, words or brands your legal team or the platform won’t accept. Song lyrics, other music apps by name.

How do you come up with video ad ideas?

Start from why people choose your product and find the moments in their day where that reason shows. Each moment is an angle. Add a format and an opening shot, and a creator can film it.

What is an ad angle?

The reason a specific viewer should care, in one line. The same product with two angles speaks to two different people, so test angles before you test small details like music or colours.

How is this different from the ad copy and commercial script prompts?

This prompt comes first: it finds what to say and to whom. The commercial script prompt turns one idea into a script, and ad copy writes the text that runs with the finished video.

Is this ad ideas prompt free?

Yes. Copy it and use it as often as you like. You don’t need an Octoclip account.

Can I run creator videos as ads?

Yes. Videos you approve on Octoclip can be used on your own channels and in paid ads. Post a job for free, give each idea to its own video and pick from the creators who apply. See UGC ads for how brands run them.
