01In short

What are UGC rates?

UGC rates are the prices UGC creators charge for a video, usually per video. They depend on the video’s length, the usage rights, extras such as raw footage, and the creator’s experience. On Octoclip the brand sets a fixed price per approved video, and creators see it before they apply.

02The guide

How to set a UGC rate.

Five things to settle before you post a job.

  1. Decide the length and the number of videos

A single 20-second video costs less to make than a longer demo with several scenes. State the length and how many videos you want.

  2. Decide where the video will run

Rights are part of the price. Using a video in paid ads is worth more to a creator than using it only on your own page, so agree this first.

  3. List the extras

Raw footage, a second hook, a product the creator must buy or a fast deadline all change the work. Put each one in the brief.

  4. Set one price per video

Pick the amount you will pay for each approved video. Octoclip shows it to creators before they apply, so the people who apply have already accepted it.

  5. Compare creators, not quotes

Creators apply at your price. Look at their delivery record and videos, and send offers to the ones you want. Plan the spend with the TikTok ads cost tool.

03Two ways to work

Creator posts or UGC videos: which do you need?

Each job is one type. You set the price per video, and creators see it before they apply.

The creator publishes on their own TikTok, Instagram or YouTube, to their own audience. You get the live post to repost and run as an ad.

07Avoid these

Four mistakes in setting UGC rates.

  • Choosing on price alone

The lowest price is not the best value. A creator who delivers on time and follows the brief saves you the revisions.

  • Leaving rights out of the price

A price for a video you cannot run as an ad is not the same price. Agree the rights first. See the UGC contract template.

  • Paying for views

Views depend on the algorithm. A fixed price per approved video keeps your cost known.

  • Hiring one creator

One video tells you little. Several creators at the same price show you whose opening to repeat.

How much do UGC creators charge?

UGC creators set their own rates, and they depend on the video’s length, the usage rights, extras and the creator’s experience. On Octoclip you set a fixed price per video before creators apply, so the price is known up front.

How much does UGC cost per video?

It depends on what you ask for. Platforms publish their own prices: Billo says from $99 per video bought as packs, and Trend’s credit packages work out to roughly $69 to $92 per video. On Octoclip the price is the one you set for the job, paid only when a creator accepts your offer. The UGC pricing report 2026 compares nine platforms.

What affects UGC pricing?

Video length and number of videos, where the video will run (organic or paid ads), extras such as raw footage or a second hook, the deadline, and the creator’s experience and delivery record.

Is the UGC rate per video or per hour?

Per video. Creators price a finished, approved video, not their time. Octoclip works the same way: a fixed price per approved video.

Do UGC rates include usage rights?

On Octoclip, yes. The contract both sides accept lets the brand use approved content on its own channels and in paid ads, including Spark Ads and partnership ads. See the UGC contract template.

How much does UGC cost?

Posting a job, reviewing applicants and sending offers are free. You set a fixed price per video and pay only when a creator accepts your offer. The full amount is shown before you send the offer.

Which currency are UGC rates in on Octoclip?

Octoclip prices jobs in euros and shows the price to creators before they apply. Rates are set by each brand for its own job.

Will a higher rate get a better result?

Nobody can promise that for your product. Octoclip does not sell or guarantee downloads, installs or views. You pay a fixed price for each approved video.

What if a video doesn’t follow the brief?

You can ask for one revision per video, pointing to the must-include point it missed. The creator has 3 days to resubmit. If you don’t review a video within 5 days, it is approved.

When is a creator paid?

Their payment is secured when they accept, before any work starts, and released for each video you approve.
