In short
What is a UTM link?
A UTM link is a normal web address with a few tags added to the end, such as utm_source and utm_campaign. When someone clicks it, your analytics tool reads the tags and records where the visit came from. That is how you tell a click from a creator’s TikTok apart from a click from an ad or an email.
A marketplace where brands hire creators directly, at a fixed price per video.
An analytics tool. The builder makes the link; your own analytics reads it.

FAQ
UTM links, answered.
What people ask about these numbers, and how Octoclip prices a video.
What are the UTM parameters?
There are five: utm_source, utm_medium and utm_campaign, which most people always fill in, and utm_term and utm_content, which are optional.
Are UTM parameters case sensitive?
In most analytics tools, yes: TikTok and tiktok are counted as two sources. This builder puts everything in lower case for that reason.
Do UTM links work on TikTok and Instagram?
They work anywhere a link can be clicked: a bio link, a story link, an ad. A web address typed into a caption is not clickable, so use the bio or the ad.
Where do I see the results?
In the acquisition or traffic-source reports of your analytics tool, grouped by source, medium and campaign.
How do I track which creator sent a sale?
Give each creator their own link with their name in utm_content. Your analytics then shows visits and sales per creator, and the CPA calculator turns that into a cost per sale.
Can a tagged link tell me how many sales a creator will bring?
It shows what happened after a post went live, not what will happen. Octoclip does not sell or guarantee downloads, installs or views. You pay a fixed price for each approved video.
How much does it cost to hire a creator?
Posting a job, reviewing applicants and sending offers are free. You set a fixed price per video and pay only when a creator accepts your offer. The full amount is shown before you send the offer.
