A brand deal is paid work for a brand: a video for its ads or a post on your account. On Octoclip brands post the deals and you apply, with the price per video shown up front.
A brand deal is paid work for a brand: a creator makes a video about its product, for the brand’s own ads or as a post on the creator’s account. The deal sets the price, the number of videos, the deadline and how the video may be used. On Octoclip the price is fixed per approved video.
Octoclip is
A marketplace where brands post paid video jobs and creators apply, at a fixed price per video.
Octoclip is not
A talent agency or a gifting platform. It never pays by views.
02The guide
How to get brand deals.
Six steps, whether you have 500 followers or 50,000.
01
Know what brands pay for
Brands pay for two things: videos they run in their own ads, where followers don’t count, and posts on your account, where they do. The UGC vs influencer marketing guide explains the difference.
02
Build a small portfolio
Three to six sample videos show brands what you can film. See UGC portfolio for what to include.
03
Apply instead of cold pitching
Cold DMs take time, and the price is negotiated each time. On Octoclip brands post open jobs with the price per video, and you apply to the ones that fit.
04
Read the terms before you say yes
Check the price, the number of videos, the deadline, how the video may be used and, for posts, how long it stays live. The UGC contract template lists what a deal should cover.
Anatomy of an offer
Five things to check before you say yes.
1
The price per videoSet by the brand and shown on the job. It never depends on views.
2
The number of videosHow many you film for this hire.
3
The deadlineWhen the videos are due.
4
How the brand may use itWhere the video can run, written on the contract you accept.
5
The must-include pointsThe brand checks your video against them. Tick each one before you send.

04
Get paid
The brand reviews within 5 days, or your video is approved for you. Each approved video is paid to your bank.
Film a few sample videos, put them in a simple UGC portfolio, and apply to jobs that fit you. On Octoclip brands post the jobs with the price, so you don’t need to pitch.
How many followers do you need for brand deals?
None for UGC videos, which the brand posts on its own accounts. For Creator posts on your account, some brands set a minimum, shown on the job before you apply.
How much do brand deals pay?
It depends on the brand, the video and the usage rights. On Octoclip each brand sets its own fixed price per video and shows it before you apply. The UGC rates guide explains what moves the price.
What should a brand deal include?
The price per video, the number of videos, the deadline, how the brand may use the video and, for posts, how long it stays live. On Octoclip the contract comes from the job’s terms, and any change needs your yes.
Does Octoclip take a cut of my pay?
No. Joining, applying and accepting offers are free, and Octoclip takes 0% of your pay. Payment fees for sending the money to your bank come off each payout.
When do I get paid?
Your full pay is secured when you accept an offer, before you film. Each video is paid once the brand approves it, or automatically 5 days after you send it if the brand doesn’t answer.
What if the brand asks for changes?
A brand can ask for one revision per video, and only for a must-include point from the brief. You have 3 days to send the new version.
Can a brand reject my video?
Only for objective reasons, like a missed deadline, the wrong account or a missing ad label, or after the revision. If you disagree, you can dispute it and a person at Octoclip decides.
Can Octoclip promise me brand deals?
No. Octoclip does not guarantee jobs or earnings: brands choose who they hire, and you are paid a fixed price for each approved video. The how to become a UGC creator guide covers how to get started.
