Post a job and creators apply to film UGC video ads for your product or app. Hire the ones you like, pay a fixed price per approved video, and run the files on TikTok, Meta and app install campaigns.
UGC ads are paid ads that look like a post from a real person. A creator films themselves with the product on a phone: a first try, a demo, an honest review. Brands run the video on TikTok, Instagram and Facebook because it reads as a recommendation.

02The guide
How to create UGC ads.
Five steps, from the first brief to the ads you keep running.
01
Pick one moment to show
Choose the single thing your product does that is clear in ten seconds: the result, the unboxing, the tap in the app.
02
Write the brief
Give the opening line, the points that must be on screen and what to avoid. Leave the wording to the creator, because an ad read from a script looks like an ad.
Anatomy of a UGC ad brief
Five parts a creator can film from.
1
One momentThe single thing the ad shows, clear in ten seconds.
2
The opening lineHow the video starts. The rest of the wording is the creator’s.
3
Must-include pointsWhat has to be on screen. Each video is checked against them.
4
What to avoidAnything the video must not show or say.
5
Price per videoYou set it, and creators see it before they apply.

03
Hire several creators
The same brief filmed by five UGC creators gives you five hooks, five faces and five edits to test against each other.
04
Approve against the brief
Check each video against your must-include points. Ask for a revision when one is missing, and approve the rest.
05
Test, then repeat the winner
Run the videos as ads, see which opening holds attention, and send those creators your next brief. The ROAS calculator shows what each ad returns.
03Two ways to work
UGC video ads or creator posts: which do you need?
Each job is one type. You set the price per video, and creators see it before they apply.

The creator publishes on their own TikTok, Instagram or YouTube, to their own audience. You get the live post to repost and run as an ad.

04How it works
How to get UGC ads on Octoclip.
Free until you hire. You only pay when a creator accepts.
01Free
Post a job
Type, price per video, volume, deadline and the brief, with the must-include points every video is checked against.
02Free
Review applicants
Creators apply with a note. You see their profile, connected account and record on Octoclip.
03Free
Send offers
The contract is generated from your job’s terms. Hire one creator or twenty from the same brief.
04
Hire and approve
When a creator accepts, you pay and they start. You approve every video before the creator is paid.
Views depend on the algorithm. A fixed price per approved video keeps your cost known and the deal fair to the creator.
Scripting every word
Creators know how people talk on camera. Fix the points that must be shown and let them say it their way.
Betting on one video
One ad tells you nothing about what works. Several creators on the same brief show you which opening and which face to repeat.
Leaving usage rights vague
Agree before filming where the video can run. On Octoclip the terms are on the contract both sides accept.

What is the difference between AI UGC ads and real UGC ads?
AI UGC ads use a generated avatar reading a script. Real UGC ads are filmed by a person who holds the actual product and gives their own reaction. On Octoclip every ad is filmed by a real creator. More in AI UGC vs real UGC.
Can I use UGC ads for app install campaigns?
Yes. Post a UGC video job, ask for the app to be shown on the creator’s own phone, and run the files as app install ads on TikTok and Meta. To plan the spend, see TikTok ads cost. Usage rights are set in the job’s terms and shown on the contract.
Where can I run UGC ads?
On TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and YouTube Shorts, and on your own site and product pages, as the job’s terms allow.
Will UGC ads perform better than my brand ads?
Nobody can promise that for your product, which is why brands test several creators against each other. Octoclip does not sell or guarantee downloads, installs or views. You pay a fixed price for each approved video.
Do UGC creators need a lot of followers?
Not for UGC ads, where only the video matters. Followers matter for creator posts, which you can also run as Spark Ads, and you can set a minimum on the job.
What if a video doesn’t follow the brief?
You can ask for one revision per video, pointing to the must-include point it missed. The creator has 3 days to resubmit. If you don’t review a video within 5 days, it is approved.
When is a creator paid?
Their payment is secured when they accept, before any work starts, and released for each video you approve.
Is Octoclip a UGC agency?
No. You choose and hire creators directly. Octoclip runs the jobs, contracts, approvals and payments in between.
