A UGC portfolio is three to six sample videos that show brands what you can film. On Octoclip it’s a free page at your own link, and brands can hire you from it.
A UGC portfolio is a collection of sample videos that shows brands what you can film: a demo, an unboxing, an honest review. Brands use it to choose creators for paid UGC jobs, so it matters more than your follower count. A good one holds three to six vertical videos, a short intro and a way to contact you.

03The guide
How to build a UGC portfolio.
Six steps. You don’t need a paid job to start.
01
Choose two or three niches
Pick products you already use, such as skincare, food or apps. A brand looking for a skincare video wants to see skincare.
02
Film three to six sample videos
Use products you own, and label each one as a sample, not as paid work for that brand.
03
Cover the formats brands ask for
A demo, a first try, a review and a before and after show your range. The UGC examples guide explains each format.
04
Make the first three seconds count
Brands run UGC in ads, where the opening decides whether anyone keeps watching. Start on the product or the problem, not on a hello.
05
Host it where a brand can open it in one tap
Your free page on Octoclip does this: one link, with your reel and three videos up front. A shared Google Drive folder or your TikTok or Instagram work too. Check every link opens without a sign-in.
06
Keep it fresh after each job
Swap in your best new work. On Octoclip the terms let you show approved videos in your own portfolio. The how to become a UGC creator guide covers the whole path.
04Two kinds of job
The two kinds of job brands post.
Each job is one kind, and shows its price per video before you apply.

How do I make a UGC portfolio with no experience?
Film sample videos with products you already own, as if a brand had briefed you, and label them as samples. Brands judge the video, so a good sample shows as much as paid work.
Is the portfolio free?
Yes. Your page on Octoclip is free to make and free to keep. It comes with your creator account, and joining is free.
Can brands hire me from it?
Yes. Every page has a Hire button. A brand that likes your videos can start a job with you from there, and you see the price per video before you say yes.
Where should I host my UGC portfolio?
Anywhere a brand can open in one tap. Your free Octoclip page does this, with your reel, your videos, your niches and your languages at one link. A shared Google Drive folder or your TikTok or Instagram also work, as long as the videos play without a sign-in.
Do I need a portfolio to apply on Octoclip?
No. You apply with a short note, and brands see your profile, your connected account and, after your first jobs, your record of videos delivered on time. A few sample videos on your free page still help a brand say yes.
Can I put paid UGC work in my portfolio?
Check each job’s terms. On Octoclip the terms let you show approved videos in your own portfolio, and the brand keeps its right to use them.
Do I need followers to get UGC jobs?
Not for UGC videos: the brand posts your file on its own accounts and in its ads, so followers don’t count. Creator posts go on your own account, which you connect, and some brands set a minimum.
Does it cost anything to join Octoclip?
No. Joining, applying and accepting offers are free, and Octoclip takes 0% of your pay. Payment fees for sending the money to your bank come off each payout.
How much do UGC creators make?
There is no set salary: UGC creators are paid per video, so what they make depends on how many jobs they take and what each one pays. On Octoclip each brand sets its own price per video and shows it before you apply. The UGC rates guide explains what moves the price.
Will a portfolio get me hired?
A strong portfolio helps a brand say yes, but nobody can promise work. Octoclip does not guarantee jobs or earnings: brands choose who they hire, and you are paid a fixed price for each approved video. The brand deals guide covers how to find them.
